Thin Slate Veneer, also known as Flexible Stone Veneer is a very popular product due to its versatility and beautiful looks. It is an actual slate stone, ripped of the slab and is between 1 mm to 3 mm thick (thin!). These stones are used as an alternative to a local wood veneer and looks much more appealing and create stunning surrounds.
SIZES: The main sizes that the stone is available is 4 feet*2 feet (122 cm*61 cm) and can be supplied in smaller tile sizes as well viz. 12”*12” (30.5 cm*30.5 cm), 24”*12” (61 cm*30.5 cm) etc. It weighs 1.5 kg/sq. metre. 1 sheet weighs 1.1 kg. Some Thin Slate Veneer tiles where large slabs are available from our quarries we can also supply 8” * 4” ( 244 cm * 122 cm). We manufacture these in 15-20 different Indian Slate Stone colors.
APPLICATION : It is advisable to apply these Flexible Stone Veneer Sheets for primarily interior applications (can be used in the following places : Fireplace surrounds, doors and cabinets, furniture coverings, decorative trim, bathroom showers, tub surrounds, any type of walling, home flooring, etc.). Local adhesives can be purchased from the market for applying these sheets on the walls such as BALENDURA, LOCTITE.
